I almost immediately regretted telling everyone that I had tried out and passed the test. People kept asking me when I was going to be on the show.
"Well, it's kind of a longshot. They said that 25,000 people take the test every year. I'm guessing about 10-15% pass it, so 2500-3500. They have about 400 contestants appear on the show every year. So it's probably about a 1-in-6 to 1-in-9 chance. Except I was NOT at my best at the end of the audition (see story previous page about thinking I failed and then learning I passed). So it's probably less than that."
"When do you hear?"
"Sometime between now and April. Or maybe I don't."
"Who can I call/bribe/schmooze/threaten?"
